We’re here in Scarborough Southwest. The by-election is coming up on September 3rd, one of three province-wide that could be the big turning point where the people of Ontario finally show they’re ready for a change and they know who’s gonna give it to them.
And we’ve been knocking on the doors for the local candidate Ahsanul Hafiz and getting a great reaction. And here’s a few pictures from the day. Coming out to knock some doors is a great way to see some parts of the world you wouldn’t see.
I just talked to a family where there’s a 19 year old about to cast his first vote in any election ever.
An immigrant family. And it’s just great to see people excited about being part of our democracy.
And it’s really cool to be able to have democracy be a face-to-face thing we do at the door, not just something that’s like on the media or social media, but conversations between people and making choices together.
